Cde. Bro. Samuel Obeng Badu is a visionary Pan-African youth leader, social worker, HR professional, and development advocate from Ghana. PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
By profession, Bro. Samuel is a Social Worker and an experienced HR Manager. He currently a Business Development Executive, working as Marketing Manager for a private company. His corporate experience in HR, marketing, and business development strengthens his ability to mobilize resources, manage teams, and drive institutional growth for youth initiatives.
FOUNDER & ARCHITECT OF AAYGS
In February 2026, Bro. Samuel made known the ALL AFRICAN YOUTH GOVERNMENT SYSTEM - AAYGS
As Executive Director, he heads the organization’s central administration. AAYGS was created to unite African youth to “build the Africa we hope for” through a real governance model of Parliament, Executive, and Judiciary. He confirmed AAYGS will officially launch its Ghana Chapter and inaugurate the Youth Parliament as the first step in a wider continental rollout, with other African countries expected to follow.
FORMER UN YOUTH LEADERSHIP ROLE
Bro. Samuel has also served as Youth Finance Minister under the auspices of the United Nations Youth Association Ghana. This experience gave him early exposure to international youth policy, budgeting, and diplomacy, shaping his understanding of how young people can engage in national and global governance structures.
ROOTED IN NKRUMAH’S IDEOLOGY
AAYGS activities are aligned with Africa Agenda 2063. Bro. Samuel states that the movement is “building upon the foundation already laid by great Pan-African leaders like Dr. Kwame Nkrumah”.
He also serves as Director of Agriculture at the Kwame Nkrumah Ideological Institute, where he promotes agricultural self-reliance, food security, and youth participation in agribusiness as pillars of economic independence.
EDUCATION CHAMPION: HIGHER HEIGHTS FOUNDATION
Bro. Samuel is the Founder and President of Higher Heights Foundation, a renowned educational NGO. For years the Foundation has supported schools and school children in deprived communities with educational materials. Its mission is to bridge the resource gap between privileged and underprivileged learners.
COMMUNITY IMPACT & FIELD WORK
The foundation has been doing a lot to support schools and school children in deprived communities over the years. In September 2025, he unveiled new executives and charged them to continue the legacy of service. In the Western Region, he personally led the Foundation’s team to visit and donate to five schools and communities, extending direct support to learners and teachers on the ground.

He is a regular public commentator on national development. His message on Ghana’s 67th Independence and other reflections position him as a thought leader calling for youth-led transformation, patriotism, and policy action.
