AKUAPIM SOUTH TO BE A FIRST-CLASS MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

 


Independence Day is one of the memorable occasions in the history of most countries across the globe of which Ghana is not an exception. Over here in Ghana, on the 6th day of the month of march of every year, schools, institutions, organizations and agencies across the country meet in their respective municipalities or districts to honor their legacy by conducting a parade and march of which the Akuapim South Municipal Assembly is not an exception.

In a speech delivered by Hon. Frank Aidoo, the municipal chief executive of the above-mentioned municipal assembly on this occasion at the Ahwirease Junior High School Park, he urged the people in the municipality to do their best to bring the best out of this municipality and the country as a whole.

Hon. Frank Aidoo further stated that, the municipality in one way or the other, has gotten their fair share of the roads been constructed, the main health facility which is the Koom Clinic has also been upgraded to a 60-bed capacity hospital. 

The education directorate can also boast of a befitting office. Several schools have been built, ultramodern court complex which is about 80% complete and a magistrate bungalow which is 100% complete is something great to write home about and et al.

He further stated that, the dream is to transform the municipality to a first-class community and one of the best in the country.

The schools that were present include the Aburi Presbyterian Senior Technical School, Aburi Girls Senior High School, P.W.C demonstration and others.
