I am Samuel Obeng Badu, a graduate from the University of Ghana.
One of the things that pushed me to propose the Farmfeed Ghana project, which is basically about growing food crops and harvesting them in larger quantities to feed the nation was my understanding of the importance of agriculture and the fact that, every single day, man will eat whether there is money or no money. However, as of right now, I am currently lacking the funds to start it and therefore seeking for sponsorship or grants to make it happen. I have graduated from the university but am currently not being an employee.I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the land of Africa is fertile enough to feed and can feed many. However, this has not been the case due to the fact that we have not paid as much attention to agriculture or we do not get the needed resources or funds as we should have.
As we all know, the business sector known as "agribusiness" includes both farming and commercial operations associated to farming. This includes the manufacturing, processing, and distribution processes necessary to get an agricultural product to market.
Agriculture and farming are important industries that cannot be underestimated. This is due to the fact that it supplies more than 90% of Ghana's food needs while also contributing close to 54% of the country's GDP and over 40% of export revenues.
The FarmFeed Ghana is my company name or initiative for this agricultural enterprise, and the year-round production of food crops is the key driving force behind it. By doing this, Ghanaians will always have access to fresh food crops at reasonable costs.
Food is the body's primary source of energy, and since the nation's population is growing, there is a growing need for food crops. As a result, we must act now to ensure that there is always an adequate supply of food available for the people of Ghana at all times
The time has come for us young people to stop sleeping. Agriculture is always a good investment of resources.
If we simply choose to concentrate only on agriculture, Africa may even govern the world as a whole. If someone would Award me a Grant to turn what I have plan on paper into reality, I will be very grateful. I would still be prepared to follow forward with my agriculture idea and begin growing food crops to feed the nation and the continent. I am ready and prepared to pitch or submit my detailed business proposal to any company or an individual that will come to my aid
