Unconfirmed claims surfaced on Sunday that the country in Central Africa experienced a coup while the president was abroad.
We can all agree that there have been several of these in recent years in west Africa, however I myself do not consider them as coups but rather as revolutions, as I have mentioned in some of my earlier publications.
According to reports, President Denis Sassou Nguesso is currently in New York City, USA, for the UN General Assembly.
The country's Minister of Communication and Media, Thierry Moungalla, quickly denied it on his X (Twitter) profile.
