As young individuals, we are often bombarded with messages about the importance of saving, investing, and budgeting our money wisely. However, many of us lack the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage our finances.
Samuel Obeng Badu known by many youth in Ghana and across Africa as Bro.Samuel delivered the Youth Budget Statement and Economic Policy as Ghana's Youth Minister for Finance under the auspices of the International Youth Network of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 last Saturday at Achimota
He stated that, by taking the time to educate ourselves on financial matters, we can gain a better understanding of our spending habits, savings goals, and overall financial health. This not only helps us make informed decisions about our money but also sets us up for a more secure financial future.
The budget statement and economic policy Bro. Samuel, Ghana's youth minister of Finance for the youth government initiative of the international youth network of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250, presented clearly shows how they were going to mobilize for funds and it's allocations, keeping track of where and projects thats will be funded.
In proclamation of economic development, Bro. Samuel outlined that, the work that needs to be done now isn't so much about how well one does in speaking and debating in English, which isn't even our mother tongue, but rather about the steps that need to be taken to advance significant and well defined growth in our designated terterritories.
He meant deeds and not words knowing for sure that every step counts in living the dream bigger than life’s dream.
The first committee he indicated he was going to set up the Economic Stability House, which will be led by tthe ddeputy youth minister for finance and consist of the deputy youth chief of staff, one youth regional minister, the youth minister in charge of parliamentary affairs, and the head of the youth parliament's finance committee.
Their main objective will be to write and submit proposals to raise capital for the ministry of finance to fund this youth government initiative.
Additionally, He set realistic savings goals and created a plan to achieve them for the Youth Government Initiative.
Furthermore, he advised that youth to develop good financial habits that will benefit them for years to come. By learning how to budget and manage money effectively
In conclusion, he stated that, by taking the time to educate ourselves on financial matters, we can gain control over our finances, set realistic savings goals, and develop good financial habits. This not only benefits us in the present but also lays the groundwork for a secure financial future.
One of the handful of young individuals in the nation who is actively rewriting history and promoting the involvement of youth people in national matters is Bro. Samuel. He also said in his closing remarks that he has been unemployed for a year.
